Sao Rafael is set in the Algarve, west of more lively Albufeira, and boasts golden sands, sheltered by sandstone cliffs, that hold the prestigious European Blue Flag.  Sao Rafael is a small and quieter resort with breathtaking cliff views, fabulous fish restaurants, a few small shops and golf courses nearby.  If you prefer a lively night out or would like a greater range of shops then Albufeira is a short taxi ride away.
